As we celebrate our 75th Anniversary, it is not hard to see all the positive impact City CU has made in the lives of our Members and communities. In efforts to continue making the difference we want to celebrate by spreading acts of kindness throughout our Membership, communities, and organizations. We invite you to join us and help City CU make the difference with our 75th Anniversary Random Acts of Kindness.
Austin Street Center
Austin Street Center is an emergency shelter that serves men ages 45 and older and women ages 18 and older. Each person who finds shelter with us is provided a safe place to sleep, showers, clothing, and meals. We rely on community support to shelter, feed, and care for more than 400 homeless men and women every day.
Some of their services include a staffed Resource Center, computer training, a Job skills training program, and an Employment Specialist Case Manager. A Pathway house to prepare for the transition to permanent housing, services includes financial literacy education and life-skills training as well as access to the programs that are available to the general population of clients at Austin Street Center. We also offer special programs for women, veterans, and substance abuse support. We also provide an onsite partnership with local hospital and clinic staff to come
